Cognitive Workshops

 * Workshops are currently on hold while assisting the Oxford community * 

Workshops are designed to coach and educate individuals and families in a variety of community settings. Interactive sessions provide developmentally appropriate information for individuals of all ages to better understand how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence our experiences and choices. Key workshops topics include:

· How to begin breaking negative cognitive habits (our negative thinking patterns)

· Build more supportive thoughts and resilience

· Healthier communication with others

· And more 

Ages 6-8

• Interactive activities 
• Learn how to help children recognize and verbalize emotions,
• Practice tools that will help children regulate their bodies
• Develop a "calm down" personalized to their needs. 

Workshop is approximately 45-60 min 

Ages 9-13

• Identify how different changes at this age can impact core core beliefs regarding yourself and the world. 
• Learn how to identify different triggers or insecurities that lead to negative thought patterns, and how to change them
• Tools to use for boosting positive self esteem.

Ages 14-17

• Identify types of goals you want to accomplish, and what cognitive barriers are holding you back 
• Practice how to use different tools to reframe thoughts 
• Learn how to break goals into steps that are realistic and set you up for success

18 +

Created for a group of adults that would like to tackle a similar goal to one another, and looking for insight on how to move forward with something they have always wanted to get around completing.

 All individuals looking to participate complete a questionnaire 2-3 weeks prior to the workshop and we tailor the material to focus on what needs you have identified

 Supervision can be provided for a LLMSW looking to obtain supervision hours for their LMSW! 

Available to provide proof to all Supervisees that Supervisor has NASW Core Supervision Certificate

Scope of Practice regarding Supervision includes: Outpatient behavioral health for families, children, teens and young adults with a focus on trauma, depression, anxiety, and family communication/bonding within the Oakland County area. 

Rate: $125 per hour
